  Master of The House
This will not be a post appreciated by all, and I know I risk coming off as the "Crazy Single Cat Lady" but something disturbed me somewhat this morning, as I lay in bed, with my cat Calvin on my chest who was in the throes of ecstacy, getting his neck and head scratched. I looked at Calvin, who I adore, and thought of his life, living with Ms. Ms. Calvin gets fed, watered, his poop scooped, and full body massages, scratches, and kisses. He has been getting away scot-free from jumping up on my kitchen counter and has not had to suffer the discomfort of claw-clipping because he complains so much when I try. He lives with his Mom who sometimes cleans him lovingly, and other times he pounces on and tries to play-fight with. A total Mama's boy! My house is littered with his toys, he has scratching post and various pieces of furniture (much to my dismay) for his claw-scratching pleasure. Calvin is truly the King of Chez Ms. This is pathetic.

Comments:
Don-choo worry about it my pritee, my parents are also crazy cat ladies.

The cats absolutely rule the roost over there. When I am there they rule me too, so I become, in effect, a crazy cat-lady by default.

Besides, I've seen Calvin and he's pretty cute, so I'd be drawn in by his cat powers too.

BTW I am bone-dry blog-wise... nothing to report or make funny comments about. Other than the fact that my mother started planning my wedding this weekend (NO - I am NOT engaged!) and I had to tell her to "cool down" ("and I'm collin down.. and she's still in the bathroom") to which she said "don't wait too long, Hick". You know, as if I was the only one involved in the decision.

no pressure, mom! shesh!

woooo-weeee. you should blog about your mother's frantic push towards the alter! that's some good writin for ya!

Better than my mother: "One of these days, Ms. M, you are going to have to start taking the man-hunt more seriously".

HELLO??? Does she have any idea how much work this is?? If I had to be serious about it too, I would probably implode.

if i didn't blog aboutt he "man hunt" , I might have already gone insane.

Your mother actually said that to you?!?
I hope to the lord almightly that you are exagerrating.

Ms. Ms (you posted as Ms Mys again BTW) how does one take the "hunt" more seriously? Does one stand on a street corner stopping every available looking man asking "you! are you married?!?" - "hey YOU! yes! in the Mercedes! Are you in a long term relationshiiiiiiiiip?" as he drives away?

What is Wrong with Mothers?

dammit!! i keep posting as the wrong person!!! do anyone's friends read this blog? I don't wanna hafta delete and repost... man o man.

oh well, my life is an open book already.

and, yes, she really said that to me. I'm sure it was less than 2 yrs ago.

I haven't given the blog address out to anyone... who would I tell?

I think I mentioned it to Julian, actually - but I don't think he ever reads it .. do you Julian?

I don't have any friends. (other than you guys) And any "friends" I do have that live in L.A. are probably too self obsessed to read anyone's blog's but their own!

And Hickmaster, take it from me, I thought Eloping would be easier WRONG. Waay more trouble that it's worth. The eloping part is fun but you still have to worry about the family afterwards and still have to deal with the parties and planning and stuff. sheesh!

Oh boo hoo Miss Kay! (single tear down face)..

I married a wonderful man on a gorgeous hilltop!

And now...
the parties! oh! Hep me Lawd!

Honestly though, do you need help party planning? I love that shit man. Let me know! And when is it? And where? And no matter what, planning this party will be easier than planning a WEDDING!
